Meet Denise...

Denise went on to attend Camden Catholic where she excelled academically as a Tom Kenney scholar.  Over the next few years, she would attend Camden County Community College and then complete her Bachelor’s in Nursing online. Today, Denise works in the Trauma Operating Room at both Cooper University Hospital and Inspira Health.

Becoming a Nurse is one of her greatest accomplishments but not the greatest - her three beautiful children fill that role!  So when it was time for her two older children to attend grade school, she decided that she wanted to give them a similar experience that she had at Holy Name.  At the time, her siblings who are ten and twelve year younger, were attending St. Joseph Pro-Cathedral school so she decided that she would send them to be with their aunt and uncle. It became apparent very quickly that St. Joseph Pro-Cathedral had the same family feeling, was rooted in tradition and had teachers who were absolutely amazing and ensured her children felt safe and loved.

Her son, Randy, went on to Holy Cross High School as a LaSalle scholar and is now attending Rutgers  University studying Aerospace Engineering. In addition to his studies, Randy is also in the AirForce Reserves and is currently working twelve hour days fixing fighter jets.  A fine example of a CPS legacy and a great role model for his sister, Kiani.

Kiani is currently in the 8th grade at St. Joe’s and will continue her education at either Camden Catholic or Holy Cross High School.  She is a straight “A” student who has been inspired by teachers such as Kevin Soriano who according to Denise, really gets her daughter.  He takes the time to listen and to provide solid direction and sound advice.  This commitment to providing a quality faith-based education can be felt by walking down the hallways and peeking into any classroom at St. Joseph Pro-Cathedral School.

We are grateful for Denise and her children, they are stellar examples of seizing every opportunity and working hard to achieve great things. They are the people who build the foundation of family traditions in the CPS schools, keep them going and make us proud to share their stories.
